What we are learning?

Dear Parents,

We hope you are having a beautiful week. This week we will continue with our theme is “My School and I”. Children will continue exploring the different areas of school and discovering their new routine. It will represent another week of adaptation and adjustment.

We have scheduled fun activities related to this theme to continue strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills so children can continue learning through exciting experiences. Children will be looking at flashcards related to this theme and photos of their teachers and school staff, we will play catching bubbles with our hands and we will stimulate palmar grip by putting a plastic toy in their palms for them to grab.

Friendly Reminders

Wash your hands and your child’s hands when entering your child’s classroom.

Make sure to wear shoe covers when entering classroom to drop your child.

Knock before entering the classroom to make sure there is no one behind the door

Read, review and fill out your child’s journal with information for the teacher.

Label all your child’s clothing and items and make sure that your child has extra set of clothing that is appropriate to weather in his/her cubby.

Make sure to remove clothing from the cubby and just leave one set of clothing.

Always store pacifiers in their packages.

Week: August 14th, 2017 to August 18th, 2017 My school and Me Weekly Feature Theme: My Classroom and Friends

What we are learning?

Dear Parents,

We hope you are having a beautiful week. We are excited to welcome all students to our new school year 2017-2018. This month our theme is “My School and I”. This coming week children will experience and explore the school, our school routine and classroom. It will be a week of adaptation and adjustment.

We have scheduled learning activities related to this theme to continue strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills so children can continue learning through experiences. Children will try to clap while singing, they will imitate sounds of animals while looking into flashcards and they will try to follow shiny objects and play with bubbles.

Week: August 7th, 2017 to August 11th, 2017 Feature Theme: Little Magicians and Clowns

What we are learning?

Dear Parents,
 
We hope you are having a beautiful week. This is our last week of summer camp and we want to make sure children have fun while learning.  This week children will enjoy being little magicians and clowns. They will explore and discover interesting facts about the animals at the circus.
 
We have scheduled learning activities related to this theme to continue strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills so children can continue learning through experiences. Children will play with our parachute as circus tent and they will enjoy a puppet show while trying to imitate sounds of the animals of the circus.

What we are learning?

Dear Parents, 

We hope you are having a beautiful week. This week the children will learn everything about being little athletes.  
 
We have scheduled learning activities related to this theme to continue strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills so children can continue learning through experiences. These activities will include exercises with the legs and arms. Children will pretend to be riding a bike while listening to music. The exercise pace will depend on the music, we can go slow and also fast. Children will also move their arms up and down and we will use mirrors so they can look at themselves when making facial expressions such as being sad, being upset or being scared.

What  are we learning?

This week the children will learn everything about being little scientists.We have scheduled learning activities related to this theme to continue strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills so children can continue learning through experiences. We have planned some outdoor experiments with water and while in the classroom children will explore the difference between cold and hot and they will discover how the water changes color when coloring is added. Children will also enjoy their Splash days and some puppet time while singing songs.

We will listen to wonderful story books about Princesses and Knights. We have scheduled learning activities related to this theme to continue strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills so children can continue learning through experiences. Children will enjoy discovering and exploring stories through listening and reading. They will also enjoy some outdoor fun during our Splash days and cherish some fun times during Pajama Day with their classmates.
