Weekly Feature Theme: Little Gardeners

What we are learning? 

Dear Parents,
We hope you are having a beautiful week. This week the children will learn everything about being little gardeners.

We have scheduled learning activities related to this theme to continue strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills so children can continue learning through experiences. Children will enjoy Splash days and participate in several outdoor activities to explore nature and our surroundings. They will feel different textures, observe flashcards of plants and flowers and water plants and touch them.

Holidays & Upcoming Events

· Splash days are on Wednesdays.
· Independence Day on July 4th. Spanish for fun! will be closed.


Friendly Reminders

· Wash your hands and your child’s hands when entering your child’s classroom.
· Make sure to wear shoe covers when entering the classroom to drop your child.
· Knock before entering the classroom to make sure there is no one behind the door
· Read, review and fill out your child’s journal with information for the teacher.
· Label all your child’s clothing and items and make sure that your child has an extra set of clothing that is appropriate to weather in his/her cubby.
· Make sure to remove clothing from the cubby and just leave one set of clothing.
· Always store pacifiers in their packages.
· Make sure to fill out an administration or authorization form specifying when bug spray, diaper cream and any other ointment should be applied and be sure to supply and label the items with your child's name and place them in a Ziploc bag.
· Bring diapers, wipes and rash ointment and label them with your child’s name when requested or needed.
· Label all bottles and food that you bring to preschool for your child with your child’s name and the date it was prepared.
· Inform the teacher if there has been a change in your child’s feeding schedule.
· Do not bring your child to school if the child has a fever of over 101F or any contagious conditions.
· Apply sunscreen to your child every morning.
· Make sure to keep in your child’s cubby a pair of glasses and a summer hat.
· Have your child wear swimsuit, splashers or swim diapers and water shoes for Splash Day. Make sure to send a towel and a plastic bag for wet items. Label and pack all these items in the tote bag.
· Sunscreen and mosquito repellant are important to protect your child because he/she is very susceptible to sunburn/mosquito bites. Yet applying sunscreen and mosquito repellent to your child requires planning. If sunscreen and mosquito repellent must be applied to your child, make sure to fill out an administration or authorization form specifying when sunscreen and mosquito repellant should be applied and be sure to supply the sunscreen and mosquito repellant, label the bottles with your child's name and place them in a Ziploc bag.

What we are learning? 

Dear Parents,
We hope you are having a beautiful week. This week the children will learn everything about being little travelers. Children will be pretending traveling with us the teachers to explore new places. We will also take a walk in our playground and enjoy a reading in the outdoors.

We have scheduled learning activities related to this theme to continue strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills so children can continue learning through experiences. It will as always a week full of learning and fun activities kids enjoy and cherish!

We hope you are having a beautiful week. Summer has started and we are so happy to welcome you all to our Summer Camp 2018. Children will participate in many fun events and they will enjoy Splash days, Yoga and so much more. This week the children will learn everything about being little chefs and explore the water and the sun while being outdoors.

We have scheduled learning activities related to this theme to continue strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills so children can continue learning through experiences.

· Observe vegetables and fruits.
· Feel and touch fruits and vegetables and feel their textures.
· Sing the song of “Little Chefs” while exploring fruits and vegetables.
· Touch and feel ice and cold water.
· Sing the song “Mr. Sun”.

Theme: Annual Review. Week: From 06/11/2018 to 06/15/2018


What we are learning? 


Dear Parents,

The next week will be the last week of reviewing what we have learned during the school year. 

We will also continue working on motor and sensorial activities related to this theme, so children can continue learning through fun experiences while keeping strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills. Some activities children will enjoy are as follows:

· Place softballs inside a container. 
· Observe flashcards about family, animals, etc.
· Crawl and enjoy tummy time. 
· Follow bright objects with the sight.

Student of the Week

Please make sure to sign up your child for this wonderful activity! 

As you know, every week a child is given a set week that he/she are the student of the week. On Monday of their week, the student of the week should bring a poster and a book created with family pictures, favorite books, sports/hobbies, animals or anything they are interested in. Also, on their week parents and the student of the week may pick a day to present the poster and the book to the class. The student of the week may also bring favorite toys and books to school so they can share with classmates.

Theme: Annual Review. Week: From 06/04/2018 to 06/08/2018


What we are learning? 



Dear Parents,

We hope you all have a wonderful week. The next weeks will be a review of what we have learned during the school year. As children have enjoyed the Animal Kingdom so much, this week we will continue reviewing this interesting theme. Children will enjoy a puppet show and mimic the sounds of animals. 

We will also continue working on motor and sensorial activities related to this theme, so children can continue learning through fun experiences while keeping strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills. Some activities children will enjoy are as follows:

· Sing songs related to the theme. 
· Listen to the song “La Granja del Tio Juan”.
· Mimic onomatopoeic sounds of animals and nature.
